Nikon NIKKOR Z-Mount Lenses

As mentioned in my Nikon Mirrorless Cameras post, I have always been a Nikon photographer. The quality of glass that Nikon produces in its lenses, binoculars, monoculars, and other products is just so good. Beyond just the glass, the build quality of the NIKKOR Z-Mount lenses is so precise, intelligent, and ergonomic. I am also a big fan of the mini LED screens on the premium S-Line lenses. Despite their initial gimmick feeling, they come in very handy when in the field.

My primary lenses I’d carry on a trip somewhere are the “Holy Trinity” of f/2.8 lenses, the 14-24mm, 24-70mm, and 70-200mm. Coupled with the 2x teleconverter, I effectively have a focal length range of 14 - 400mm (*200-400mm would be at f/5.6 with teleconverter attached). While not everyone’s favorite range, the 24-70mm range is my most common to shoot with. I’ve found the much smaller, lighter, and easier to pack f/4 24-70mm is also a brilliant lens that is super sharp.
